Interview with Dr. Carmen Putz: How the INUSpherese® Center Dr. Putz was created – When personal experience becomes medical responsibility

The INUSpherese® Center Dr. Putz was one of the first facilities in Austria to offer this innovative form of therapy. Its origins weren't a classic medical case, but a deeply personal experience. Confronting a serious illness within one's own family challenged many things – and opened their eyes to new approaches in medicine. This resulted in a center that sees people holistically, listens to them, and offers new solutions. This interview tells how it all began, what experiences there are with ME/CFS, rheumatic diseases, and other autoimmune diseases – and why more awareness of this form of therapy is needed in Austria.

Question: How did you become interested in INUSpherese®?

Answer: The path to INUSpherese® didn't begin with a textbook, but with a personal emergency. When my three children both became seriously ill after a vaccination within a short period of time, a period of searching began – accompanied by worry, despair, and the hope for help. Trips to medical conferences, discussions with international experts, and numerous therapy attempts followed – some with small successes, others with none. But the feeling remained: The body often needs more than just symptom treatment – it needs support on a deeper level. The discovery of INUSpherese® was like a puzzle piece that finally fit. Answer: Yes, the very first patient was my brother. My own children, too.

Question: What makes INUSpherese® so special for many people?

Answer: Many people report a long journey of suffering. They feel alone and misunderstood with their symptoms – even though their quality of life is severely impaired. INUSpherese® addresses issues where conventional diagnostics often fail to provide an explanation: It filters pathogenic substances such as heavy metals, microplastics, autoantibodies, or pro-inflammatory substances from the blood. Question: In which clinical pictures is this particularly evident?

Answer: The experiences with ME/CFS, chronic fatigue syndrome, are particularly impressive. Many of these patients are severely restricted in their daily lives and can often barely participate in social activities. Therapy noticeably restores strength to many of them – sometimes after just a few sessions. A similar experience occurred within a family: A young patient could barely move a few meters – after just two sessions, he felt energy again for the first time. The therapy has brought him enormous improvements. Even with silent inflammation, often undetected as "silent inflammation" in the body, rheumatoid arthritis, or ME/CFS, a significant improvement in quality of life is often observed. Less pain, greater mobility, more clarity in the mind (reduction in brain fog) – many patients report this after just a short period of time.

Answer: Yes – I deliberately tried the therapy myself. Because anyone offering therapy should also know what it feels like. The treatment is perceived as very gentle. Afterwards, I felt a sense of clarity, inner lightness, and renewed energy. This personal experience only strengthened my path:

Question: Can there be side effects, and does the treatment involve risks? What is your experience with this?

Answer: Of course, as with any medical treatment, INUSpherese® can, in rare cases, cause side effects. Therefore, a detailed initial consultation is essential before every treatment. During this initial consultation, we discuss with our patients whether the treatment is appropriate and safe in their individual case. We provide comprehensive information about the procedure, potential risks, and expected benefits. Fortunately, side effects are very rare – nevertheless, we take every detail seriously to ensure the best possible safety.

Question: What would you like to say to people who feel alone with their problems?

Answer: That there is hope and that they are not alone. And possibilities. Even when traditional approaches don't offer an answer.
